Project Description

Responsible for the design and construction oversight for this award-winning, $24M, five-building, school on New Haven Harbor.

The project entailed renovations of four existing wood structures totaling approx. 20,000 SF , a new two-story 40,000 SF masonry building set atop the existing foundations of a demolished building, and the restoration of a fishing pier and seawalls. The school houses a wide variety of laboratory spaces, each needing specialized water, air, and temperature controls. Program spaces include fish production, genetics research, boat building, engine repair, plant biology, development of aquacultures working with salt and freshwater environments, and a 2,000 square foot hydroponics green house.
